I thought you might like to see inside Plas y Nant on the day we first saw it - just be grateful you can't smell it!
This was the welcoming entrance.
The dining room.
It smelt a bit in here.
The kitchen
One of the many bathrooms
It gets better now - the Chapel
One of our many views we fell in love with
So now I've given you a little taster of what Plas y Nant was like when we bought it and hopefully you'll get an idea of what we've been doing with our time - mainly clearing stuff out! Our plans are awaiting approval at Snowdonia National Park and once these are passed I'll give you a little taster of what we hope it will look like.
Well who wouldn't have fallen for that view? We shall look forward to coming and seeing it for ourselves when you open. Good luck with everything, from Sarah @nicelittleplace
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah. I'll have to arrange a Twitter launch when we open to thank you all for keeping me sane!
ReplyDeleteWe are so glad you have come to the rescue. We met at Plas 50 years ago next week and married in 1964. Needless to say it is a very special place to us (and to hundreds more). Last visit was only 2 or 3 years ago when we helped a great team of other Plas folk with decorating etc in a last bid to keep Plas open. We wish you and Plas a very happy future and hope to visit when you open. You might see us looking fondly up the drive next weekend!

Thank you Brian for your lovely comment! Keep reading the blog for the latest updates and hopefully there will soon be a link to the new website for Plas y Nant itself. We look forward to seeing you up there when we eventually open!
ReplyDeleteFabulous view, good luck with it all. You must be a bit like us, like a challange!
ReplyDeleteKaren @Peelcastle
Hello Michelle, this area was known as rhapture heights. Hope all goes well for you Maureen
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen, but I think Peel Castle was more of a challenge than Plas y Nant will be - at least I hope so!
ReplyDeleteThanks Maureen for your good wishes. Many a time I can be found up there, looking at that view and reminding myself as to why we're doing it!
ReplyDeleteHi, we stayed at PLas quite a few times in the last 4 years and LOVED it. Cant wait to stay again. Jane & Kevin Walton
ReplyDeleteThank you Jane and Kevin. We look forward to welcoming you to Plas y Nant once all the refurbishment has been completed.
ReplyDeleteMy Dad was an evacuee from Bootle during the war and his was sent here around 1942. His sister Lily was a worker here, she was 14 years older than him. He spoke very fondly of this place.
ReplyDeleteHi! We had a whole weekend wedding at Plas y Nant in October 2007 and it was the most amazing time. We have always wondered what happened to it as we knew it was up for sale so its great to come across this blog and seeing lots of great changes being made. I have some really lovely photos of the wedding in the chapel & the grounds if you want to see them at anytime and we are really looking forward to it being revamped!
