A touch of luxury - whatever the weather

The past couple of weeks have been spent in the company of my interior designer surrounded by fabric swatches, wallpaper samples, lighting schemes, sofa designs, casegoods furniture brochures and so much more.  I am now at the stage where if I'm watching a film on television I'm actually homing in on the furniture and fittings and missing the whole storyline. This happened when I built our house, at one point I had to decide on whether to have brickwork or lead around the dormer windows and it seemed that wherever I went dormer windows appeared to leap out at me until the decision was made - very disconcerting.

With the schemes for the interiors now 95% finalised on paper I'm getting so excited I really can't wait to see them come to life. Wallpapers and fabrics have been selected from Zoffany, Harlequin Harris and Sanderson and we're about to finalise the tiles for the bathrooms. It probably will feel different to the old Plas y Nant but it will still remain a wonderful old house in a fabulous location. I'm hoping you'll come and experience it for yourself, but don't worry if you can't make it as I intend to move in to any of the bedrooms that are empty!

  1. Dear Michelle,

It's so exciting to hear of the work you are doing to give Plas a new life.

I am interested in the possibilities of booking Plas for my Wedding and have sent you an email explaining my interest and asking about the possibilities. I hope you it might be possible to have a chat about it at some point.

If the mail doesn't come through please let me know via this blog.

Looking forward to hearing more about your plans.
